How North Carolina tests math
North Carolina gives grades 3–8 three NC Check-Ins 2.0 during the year and the End-of-Grade (EOG) test in the spring. NC Math 1 has two NC Check-Ins and an End-of-Course (EOC) test in the last 10 days of a yearlong course. NCDPI lets each district choose the order of the Check-Ins between September and May, so each Check-In practice set stands on its own.
