70% → 82% passing on Indiana's 7th grade Checkpoint 1

After two weeks with the reteach pages, between Opportunity 1 and Opportunity 2.

“Amazing and Worth every Cent!”

This resource is spot on! We just took Opportunity 1 and i had 70 percent of my kids pass the 7th Grade Math Checkpoint 1. I then used the reteaching pages and focused on targeting instruction to those questions that were most missed on the first opportunity for 2 weeks. We then took Opportunity 2 and I had 82 percent total passing! That is the most I have had passing since the Checkpoints were created! If you teach 7th grade Math in Indiana, it is definitely worth the money!

The testing year

States test on different schedules. The practice follows the same five steps in every one.

  1. August

    Diagnose

A readiness check shows what students bring from last year.

  2. Every day

    Spiral

Four short items keep earlier standards from fading. Print them, or assign self-grading Google Forms.

  3. Each window

    Practice

Sets built to the standards each window covers, labeled Approaching, At and Above Proficiency.

  4. After

    Reteach

An intervention closes each gap one standard at a time, then reassesses.

  5. Spring

    Full-length

A practice test built to the published blueprint, with a scoring guide.

  • Every item is original and aligned to the standard it's labeled with
  • Every item carries its level: Approaching, At or Above Proficiency
  • Every answer key shows the work, not just the letter
  • Every computable answer is recomputed with exact fraction arithmetic before release

Checked by a teacher who's still in the classroom

I'm Greg. I've taught math for more than 25 years, I hold two master’s degrees in education, and I teach advanced sixth-grade math, seventh-grade math and Pre-AP Geometry in Northwest Indiana.

  • I plan each set around the state's published standards, blueprint and item specifications.
  • I check every item, answer key and worked solution before it's released.
  • Nothing is copied from a state test, a released item or a reference sheet.
